Shannon was elected to North Sydney Council in 2021. She was born and raised in Canada, before settling in Neutral Bay where she has lived with her husband, daughter and son for 24 years. Shannon's two children went to Montessori preschool at Forsyth Park and then to Neutral Bay Public School. She managed her daughter's football team at Mosman FC.
As a lifelong nurse, including over 35 years in the intensive care unit, Shannon looked after her community. She helped lead the fight against privatisation of the Northern Beaches Hospital.
Shannon decided to run for Council after a successful public campaign to have the Primrose Park Tennis Courts refurbished. Since then she has been a fierce advocate for delivering positive change in our community.
